Looking for bearded silkie hens in Southern California

Hello!

I am currently looking to buy two young, coop ready female bearded silkies. I am having the hardest time finding ones in Southern California. Is anyone selling any or know of a good place to go to buying them (other than Chickens Galore or Dare 2 Dream Farms)?

Welcome to Backyard chickens. You might want to join your state thread and the "Silkie thread." You can find either by putting name in the search box. Silkies are very popular birds.

I think hatcheries generally have just the beardless and not up to standards as breeder silkies may be. Once you have 20 posts you can participate in the BYC Buy,sell, trade forum. There is even a category for "wanted to buy." Over the years my friend has purchased several silkie pullets (not all at once) from silkie breeders on BYC. She got some gorgeous birds.

I have 2 females and 1 male but not selling. I plan on hatching their eggs in the Spring so you can contact me if you are interested in getting their chicks. They are pure white btw.
