We are looking for an Ayem Cemeni, Silkie, and Olive Egger. Everyone is out of them around town. Looking for places that are local or possibly ship to Southern California. We've been chicken owners for over 6 years and just lost our first one and we are so devastated so we are hoping to get new ones asap! Thanks!

Hi there, welcome to BYC! :frow

So sorry for your loss. :hugs

Due to the virulent New Castle outbreak in So Cal this year that included first mandatory quarantine of back yard flocks and then even euthanasia in some locations... all shippers were halted in the area..

Adding your general location to your profile can help peeps make the best suggestions possible at a glance. ;) Being a California girl myself (previously southern)... It's a HUGE state.

Please be careful about bringing in any new birds to your place that might bring much worse than a single loss. My best suggestion is look to the next chick season and get some that have NEVER been to anybody's yard and weren't hatched by a broody. NPIP breeders or hatcheries are preferred. But if going with a backyard person... incubator hatched chicks only... and those will be 50% male unless from an auto-sexing breed like Cream Legbar or sex linked crosses.

Hope this is helpful and that your flock continues to thrive! :fl
