Looking for isolating tips -- Barred Rock Bully

Hi y'all! My barred rock has turned into quite the bully. So much so that my Barnevelder cried out as if a predator was attacking last night at bedtime. When I went to see what it was, the barred rock was standing over my EE who looked dead. I touched her and she didn't move and her eyes were still. Scared me so much, but when the barred rock went to attack her in front of me the EE leaped for help. I moved the barred rock into isolation in the garage, but I'm not sure how long to leave her in there or if I should keep her in a run next to the rest of the flock. Any advice would be great. The Barred Rock is six months and laying while the others are 16 weeks. The only other chicken the age of the Barred Rock is a Rhode Island Red who is very docile and friendly to the younger ones.

Isolating the bully seems like the logical thing to do, but in reality, it does nothing to stop the behavior. It will continue unless you treat the victim.
