I just lost my only blue egg layer (pullet) to a raccoon and we are heartbroken. I think I am interested in getting some more hens for spring eggs. I don't care if they are mutts, but want colorful eggs (blue, green, olive, dark brown.) I am currently getting only brown eggs. I am interested in pullets or young hens (large fowl) in their first year of laying that are laying pretty eggs . I keep my birds well and they are all pets. We don't eat our birds. I only have 5 hens and 4 young roos. I would love to swap some guinea keets or hatching eggs (pearl only) for some hens. I will drive up to 4 hours, and will consider shipped birds once the weather gets warmer, but the cost is a limiting factor. I am in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama area. Any help with birds or contacts in my area will be greatly appreciated.
