I am looking for a line of Silver Laced Wyandottes with specific characteristics (good laying ability and egg size, decent lacing for a hatchery SLW). I like Murray McMurray Hatchery's chickens, but it's been years since I've had any SLWs from them, so I'm not sure if they have what I'm looking for. Does anyone have pictures of Silver Laced Wyandottes they've sourced from Murray McMurray? Also, what's your opinion of their laying ability?
I'm not set on Murray McMurray's SLWs, so if you have a line you like (good layers, etc.), I'm interested. I am also very interested American Poultry Association Standard-bred SLWs, as long as their egg production and fertility haven't gone to pot.
Lastly, are there any SLW lines, whether from a hatchery or a breeder, that I should absolutely avoid, and why? Thanks.
