Looking for run ideas

I just ordered some milk crates for in my run. I am trying to get ideas how to use them. I am adding to my flock and want to create hiding places in case the new ones need them after integration. How do you all use milk crates besides nesting boxes. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks.

I don't have any milk crates in my run, but I've done a lot with bricks, blocks, pavers, and random chunks of plywood and sheet metal. Also overturned lawn chairs.

I've managed to arrange it so that no matter where I stand I can't see the entire run at once despite being much taller than the chickens.
