I'd like to add some more "fun" birds to my flock. I currently have 2 roos which get along so far (though I do have to go out and give them a talking to occasionally) and don't want to take the chance of adding any more roos....however, it's hard to find the Polish, the blues, or any of the other "rare breeds" that come sexed. Does anyone have a source close enough to the West Chicago Suburbs that they would be safe to send via the mail? HELP.

Polish and Blue varieties aren't rare. Polish are usually sold as sexed chicks because they are a bantam breed. Vent sexing is a delicate thing, and is very, very difficult to do on such small chicks.
Blue Andalusians are offered by just about every hatchery in the country, and can be purchased as sexed pullets. Blue Cochins are also readily available.
Meyer Hatchery probably has the best selection of blue variety breeds. They've got Blue Marans, Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, Blue Orpingtons, and even White Crested Blue Polish. All sexed, but availability varies.
