I'm looking for a pullet silkie chick. Blue or splash preferred, but any color ok at this point. BF's daughter wants to raise it indoors and the chick we ordered was doa last week.

Willing to travel so let me know what you have and where you are. I'm located in Greer, SC near NC line at I-26. Would appreciate it if you could network for me!!

Thanks,
Alanna

Dare I suggest she get two just so it's not alone or does she already have other birds to flock with it?

The only one that I have to part with is well started and I don't know its gender still. The post responses seemed to vary...and it's not splash. *sigh* I'm about 35 minutes from I-26, but that's to where it meets I-40 in Asheville so probably way too far away, regardless.

Best wishes in finding one! Maybe check out tractor supplies?

Hi Cindy -

Thanks for the reply. I've got 7 week olds now, with 15 coming on tuesday. The baby will have plenty of playmates. Lol. But I am thinking of getting three silkies with hopes that one will be a pullet. Actually, Asheville is not out of my way at all. I live near Landrum, and drive that way all the time to the farmers market.

Are you expecting any hatches soon?

I don't have an incubator any more. The only silkies that I have are ones that I bought from others. This one chick that I am thinking of parting with just isn't a pure color. I posted a thread asking the gender if you want to see it. It's about 3 months old now, though, I think. Somewhere around there.

I have a splash cockerel and 5 started black silkie chicks from Bobbi's birds for sale. Oh, also a black showgirl pair. I think you may be a pretty good drive from here, though.

I have a few Silkie/Cochin eggs in the 'bator growing right now, due to hatch in less than 2 weeks. I have not set anymore of my Silkie's eggs recently. I get bought out quickly but haven't room to set everything right now. I'll get the big cabinet 'bator going and set more breeds in it.

Also some Salmon Faverolles if you have those. Hopefully I can make it over there soon to visit. We're so close it seems a shame not to have met you yet.

I don't breed Sally Favors. I only have 2 girls as pets, they are a great breed.
I believe I have 4 or 5 eggs growing and have put you on the list to contact after they hatch. I will be crossing these for quite a while.
