Loren's Call ducks!!

We went to a poultry show in December and my son won the showmanship class. A lady who was there who was showing her call ducks asked Loren if he wanted some of her ducks to show. He said yes of course.

We finally got them today. They are sooo cute!!

We have two butterscotch and two whites, a drake and hen of each.

Are call ducks just small? Are they super noisy (call?)? what does one do with them? eggs? how come they are so small?

Call ducks are a type of Bantam duck. Yes, they are small, and cute.

One adores them! At least that's how I feel about my 8. They are such a joy!​

Yes, they are just to have and hold.

I need to find out more about them though. Will the hens be able to hatch out their own babies or do they need to be incubater so the ducklings can get assistence in hatching?

L&S the hens will hatch out there own babies. Better that any incubator i have ever tried!

I usually take mine away from the hen and raise them in a brooder. But thats up to you.

I was told that the ducklings could not hatch without help due to the short beaks.

I am glad they can do it on their own.
