My chickens are getting bald butt. They are starting on their back near their tail spreads to their but and them up their sides. It is not affecting their laying but winter is on us and it has to be cold.

Try dusting them with Sevin found at your local garden center. Could be lice. You will need to dust there living area to, dust the chickens again in 10 days. Hope this helps.

Check that they're not plucking one another silly. There are a lot of chicken owners, including myself, who are dealing with that now. If it is, you have to get on top of it. :O
