Lost 3 ducklings this weekend.

I lost a new born duckling Fri. it had gotten stuck in the fencing inside of the coop,it was between a rock and the fencing. This was an old run, covered to make a coop.
We also lost 2 of our older ducklings, they some how made there was in their Momma water bucket, I think it may have been to close to the coop ramp and that gave them the leverage they needed to get in the bucket, and then they couldn't get back out.
I feel so bad.
Just when you think you have thought of everything, something goes wrong!
We now have removed the bucket, and put in shallow rubber maid lids for their waters but, it makes such a mess! The small jar warters are just to small for the adult birds, so we had to do that for now, and the Pepsi bottle warter I made just isn't big enough for their water demand!
It was a sad weekend,

I'm sorry about your ducks, it's crazy the trouble animals can get into even when we are very cautious.

So sorry for your little ones. I lost a muscovy last week. He flipped over and got stuck on his back in the chicken coop while I was away and DH is not very good at looking around when he does chores, so when I found him he was alive but in rough shape. He did die after 3 days.
