Lost a rooster

I had a flock of 1 rooster, 11 chickens, and 2 ducks. The rooster was a Polish. He died yesterday for no apparent reason. Now my female Polish is very isolated and hides in the coop, the others don't seem to troubled. I'm worried for her. Should I get another rooster or will they be ok. Please give me some advice on how to help them get used to being independent.

Give it time to settle. The flock should be OK without a rooster. There is no guarantee that a new rooster will make friends with the Polish.
