Today we captured 2 dogs on our property who appear to have fleas. (I didn't check but they are filthy, stink, and are scratching alot.)
We've kept the dogs outside, away from the coop, until someone can come get them.
I'm afraid that they may transmit fleas/eggs into our yard and cause us issues with the chickens.
(I know that wild animals also can carry them but so far we haven't had a problem. knock on wood. I would hate to have introduced this issue by trying to help, especially because we are approaching our wedding about will be out of town for our honeymoon! )
Any suggestions on how we can treat the grass they're in? Or am I just being a crazy chicken- mama?
