Yesterday we had a coastal storm in NJ, it was really windy but the rain was off and on so I let the chickens in the run with the shed open so if it rained they could run back in. When my son came home from school he called me at work to come home right away - a large branch came through the family room window and the chicken run gate came down and the chickens were all loose in the yard.
After a final count one of our little mini d'uccle females was missing. We searched all over and could not find her. I hoped she would reappear this morning when I let the other chickens out but hasn't. [IMG]
I live in a very populated area so there are no woods or fields just yards. I'm hoping someone will find her but no one around has chickens so they probably will wonder where a chicken came from!!! (only the 4-5 houses near me know I have chickens). [IMG]
