A family found a stray chick while riding bikes with their kids. Just a few blocks away from my house, I live in the suburbs. They went door to door asking the people who they knew had chickens if they were missing a chick. I have a small flock of my own. I offered to take the chick since I had a heat lamp, and brooder and can never say no to a stray animal. It's been two weeks since then. The chick sits on my lap and snuggles with me most of the day. Followed by zoomies in the yard for the rest of the day. Not %100 on the breed, gender or even age? I think it's a speckled Sussex. I hope it's a girl and I honestly have no guess about age

Aww 🤗 Looks like a pretty pretty pullet to me. Very delicate features.
Looks mille fleur or mottled over partridge. I bet she feathers beautifully!
I agree with everyone-- she has to be some sort of bantam or bantam mix. ❤️
Can't believe someone lost her! 🥺 For her to sit with you like that, she had to have been handled.
What a sweet thing for you to save her! If her former home can't be found, looks like she will be eye candy and a snugglebug for you!
