I lost my BO broody last night.
The chicks had 2 mommas, but the silkie decided the chicks were big enough and rejoined the flock last night. The BO was determined to keep being a momma. They stayed at night in an old rabbit hutch. My rabbits lived there for 14 years, never lost one to a predator so I figured it was safe. Went this morning to let them out and the momma was gone, although all the chicks are still here. Guess they are moving to the coop tonight whether they like it or not, and I am moving the trap tonight. I've caught 2 coons and a possum in the last few weeks, guess I'm not done catching chicken killers yet.
