We saved a tiny sebright from TSC in april, and got him all well... then yesterday, I opened up the outdoor brooder, and she FLEW out, and was sort of chilling with the other chickens.. I wasn't too concerned, they were tolerating/ignoring her, then my cat snuck out, and sebright flew up onto our recycling bin, and the cat thought 'BIRD!'.. she doesn't chase chickens.. but this one is so small! so she chased her, and sebright ran into DH's shed.. and disappeared. poof. totally gone. I looked all over, in the shed, the woods behind the shed, and it is just GONE. my son is heartbroken he said 'everything I touch dies.' his duck got foxed last summer, and then his favorite chick last fall, and then his hen over the winter, then this one. poor baby.
