I lived through Coons and Hawks, so I guess it's about time to have something else attack. I found 1 hen dead in a laying box one morning with her neck skinned. No blood, head attached, and not really eaten. I suspect weasel and have rechecked for entry points. The predator attacked a couple nights ago. I found some tracks this morning, in the snow that followed my tracks from the night before to the barn. They were almost tear drop shaped, maybe 1/2" to 1" long, and not in a pattern that I recognized. The barn is about 100 yards from the house and the prints went off my path about half way and then showed up at the barn. No more lost chickens, so far. I tried to get pictures this afternoon, but it had snowed again. If not a weasel, any ideas?
