Earlier in the fall my 9 month old Olive egger disappeared for a few days and I assumed she was toast but after a few days she started showing up every once in a while and has been back since. Now another pullet about 8 months old is m.i.a. the pAst 3 days. I'm in northern Wisconsin and I'm worried she's getting cold at night and stuff assuming she's alive. Would it be weird for a hen that age to go broody this time of year?

No, it wouldn't be weird...those hormones can hit at any time of the year, had one hatch out last Feb.

I'd be more worried about losing her to a predator, might want to keep them confined for a time to 're-home' them.
