Great birds. How many do you have, total? I just realized where you live. Have you ever read "Going to Ground; Simple Life on a Georgia Pond" by Amy Blackmarr? She lived in Lax or Ocilla, can't remember. Good book.

Quote:Hi Cynthia, I don't think I would even want to attempt to count how many birds I have all together, but I am selling a lot of them, taking some to the sale in the morning matter of fact, six turkeys, six ducks, most of my older Barred Rock hens and roos in the picture, and some exstra roos that I have grown off and some POL pullets, so that would probably be around 60 birds of various ages going to the sale in Pearson tommorrow. By nest spring, I hope to be up or down to about 55 laying/breeding hens, Serama trio, a little mixed silkie/broodie pen, 6 turkeys, 7 ducks and then I'll be making room for several other new breeds and projects. And no I haven't read the book.

Thanks to everyone else for your kind words about my birds and yes I do have my hands full.
