Loud Chicks in Brooder

Hi,
I have 5 chicks in the brooder and they are chriping loudly. The temperature is 80 and the chicks are 2 and 1 week old. They are not huddled together and instead are standing around. I doubt that they are cold. Could anyone explain why the chicks are so vocal? Also, what is the average or normal noise from chicks in brooders? THANKS.

try raising the temp. 1 week old chicks need a higher temp, 95 first week, 90 second week and 5 degrees lower each week. 80 sounds a little cold to me.
