I love to rear chicken for commercial purpose but know nothing about it. I decided to start somewhere, got 10 pieces of 4weeks old cockerel 3 months ago, they are doing fine. later got 20 day-old broilers 3 weeks ago. 8 died. the rest look good.
I'm in Nigeria. my aim is to learn poultry farming practically before going commercial. I don't think I have anything to contribute for now but I hope I will soon.
I do hope to have a nice time in this forum. thank you all.

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us. I seem to recall another member joining us from Nigeria late last year. Sadly, they too had problems with their broilers. I hope that the rest of yours make and you manage to make some profit. I think starting small and gaining experience before investing huge amounts is a very sensible way to approach things.

    Best wishes
