i know, I know, I know ,I should have checked the temp before I put the eggs in but it has always been 99.1 before and I couldn't find a thermometer so... The eggs have been in almost a week and I just checked the temp, 97.6. I have 40 eggs in 18 tolbunt polish, 18 bantam buff brahmas and a few white crested black polish - all show birds. Should I abort the hatch, try to get the temp right and start fresh with new eggs, try to increase the temp and keep going with these eggs or just let this hatch finish and see what I get? This incubator has a digital thermometer and it has ALWAYS been 99.1 and we have had great hatches. Any suggestions?

Well, I really don't know but my intuition tells me to up the temp to where it should be and see what happens. I definitely wouldn't leave it at 97.6. I mean, will it hurt to give it the old college try?

if you have had good hatches with what you got why mess with it? but 97.6 is low and i would bring temp up and see what happens, just may take a day or so longer

Candle the eggs, yes temp. need to be up, but if at 97.5 for a week some will be ok. Still air or Forced air incubator?

    Forced air.

I'm off to try to find the paperwork to figure out how to change the temperature. I guess we're lucky - We've had this incubator for 4 years and this is my first problem.
