Lucie one of my Registered Kinder Does is due on the 23th.

She is under a year old. And her breeding was an accident. But she should do just fine.

Daddy is either 'Wilbur Van Gogh' or 'Ambrosias Kodiac'

We should easily be able to tell when she kids. We are hoping for twins. And she is as round as she is tall right now. Poor thing looks uncomfortable. She is happily getting her own stall right now at night, and free roaming during the day.

Yesterday we fixed up the kidding stall and installed some nice rotating lights.

    I'm so excited. I just can't wait.

She is the first of many does due. The others won't begin until March.

Lucie is the black on the right. Her sister Sammie on the left.

    Taken early Sept.

How cool would it be if she went a couple days over and had a nice healthy set af triplets?

She very well may have triplets. Kinder goats usually have 2-3. One is very uncommon. And they frequently have 4-5.

Many of my does can from Quad births. [IMG]

So we shall see. But Lucie is small. So if she has more than 2, I will probably have a bottle baby.

Lucie and Sammie were both bottle babies. Thats why they are so small. We used formula. We will defiently be using real goat milk on babies from now on. They grow so much better.

Here is Wilbur last Dec. Hopefully he is our daddy. He is also bred to two unregistered does right now. And is on loan to someone. I will be purchasing a baby doe of his from the person borrowing him. And possibly offering him for sale next year.

Oh I checked again. She is due on the 22th. So that means two more days.

She looks like she could pop anytime though.

Poor thing, is so uncomfortable, she constanyly groans and whines.

Wow, here's my 2 registered nubians doe sisters, Moonlight (due 3/22/10) and Starrlight (due 3/14/10) , who are bred to our registered pygmy buck to get our first generation.
Think our kinders will look similar to yours?

PS - NO - they DO NOT like the snow. We got 15 inches Thursday of last week with the rest of the East coast.

Most likely your kinders will look like the twins I posted. [IMG]

Nothing is happening yet. I am betting she will go tomorrow night. Or maybe Wed. night.

I will post pictures as soon as I get some action. [IMG]

    I'm so excited. Can't wait.
