WARNING: GROSS PIC
Hi. I have visited the site many times for helpful information but this is my first time posting here.

I have a hen who is, ahem, serviced enthusiastically by her otherwise kind and protective roo (both about a year old). I had a saddle on her for several weeks but when I checked under it to see how her feathers were growing this is what I found! 😬

I read the posts about an abscess, but when I lanced it with a needle last night I only drew blood, no pus.
Now I am thinking infection?

Please help, any suggestions welcome.

So far I have only cleaned the wound. She is in a dog crate in our laundry room.

Could be ingrown feather follicles. I would flush well with chlorhexidine and apply triple antibiotic ointment. I would leave it uncovered unless she's picking at it. See if you can find a curled up feather follicle in there.
Keep her separated until it heals.

You only have 1 hen and 1 rooster?
