Hello everyone! Hope I'm posting in the right section this time  lol! I have a 7 day old chick, (mixed breeds) and she/he has developed quite a large lump on her chest. It's pretty firm, and it seems too big to be a lump of food. Sorry! Not good with chicken parts lol. Anyone have any ideas? [IMG]

She is eating and drinking and acting normal. I'm just a worried mother!

I believe that is just the crop. Baby chicks have very pronounced crops. The crop is where the food is stored and partially digested, until it goes to the gizzard(stomach) to be digested more.

Thanks to both people who answered! And I thought it could be the crop, it just seemed a little big lol! At least I know he's eating well!
