    LOL, I stand corrected!

Anyone ever see the northern lights? I did once in Michigan, it was the middle of winter, late at night. I laid out on top of my picnic table and watched it... soooooooo cool!

Yes, if it's clear and we can find enough snow gear to bundle into against the cold, we'll celebrate the eclipse/solstice:) Did anyone get to see the Geminid meteor showers this week? We had a brief sky clearing just before midnight on the thirteenth, so I hopped in the hot tub to stay warm and watched a bit. I saw only one meteor while outside, but it was huge and long and very bright. Worth the frigid run from tub to backdoor! ~G

So what time is this going to happen?

We're in Texas, Central time.... saw something about 8:14 but it was TD and I've no clue what that means.

Edit... n'mind I found a site http://www.shadowandsubstance.com/ Pretty cool but looks like it'll be late...

The dark part starting on about 12:30am here... Full On (love the red) at 2:15 ish then wrap up dark by 4ish.

When I used to take night classes at Saginaw Valley State, I had to drive north toward home. In the winter I would see the northern lights occsasionally, but I'm further north than you.

But an eclipse on the solstice ... maybe the Maya were off by two years for their "calendar end." This is DEFINITELY omen-worthy
