Maine- Black Marans Cockerel- no longer available

[Solsken Farm]

This fellow is from Richard (Maransguy), hatched in mid december 08. He is technically a Copper Black but 4 months later there is no copper to be seen. Many of Richards eggs are very dark, and he is meticulous about breeding. So this fellow is a nice nice bird. He is going to auction tomorrow morning unless someone wants him. I will take a picture later.

I also have some seriously dark egged Copper Blacks Roos from various breeders. If you want to darken your eggs, these guys are the ticket or you can make some great olive eggers.

Wow, wish I was closer!

Hate to see these birds go to an auction with such amazing dark egg genes, have people forgotten how dark maransguy's eggs are?

I've seen those eggs in person at the Ohio show and they are darker than they appear!

People are spending money on iffy DNA on eBay and these are known to come from some of the darkest trophy winning eggs!
