I'll share two: A new Memorial Day tradition....the Red White and Blue Triple Piecakin! That's a cherry pie baked into a red velvet cake, an apple pie baked into a white chocolate cake, and a blueberry pie baked into a blue almond cake, layered between American buttercream frosting, coated in marshmallows fondant and topped with marshmallow almond buttercream frosting! My Canadian Thanksgiving three-tiered Piecakin. The base layer was a Beet cake with a traditional Sugar Pie inside and topped by a layer of Toasted Maple cream filling; the middle cake was a Timmies Coffee Cake with a French Cranberry Apple pie inside and a layer of Double Double cream filling on top; the final cake was a Red Velvet cake with a Prairie Flapper pie and it was all covered in maple frosting, chocolate ganache, and dark chocolate bark then topped with maple painted pie crust leaves. I carved a classic "Eh?" into the bark. Some pics of the pies inside and the finished undressed cake so you can get a sense of what's happening in there! All homemade from scratch!
Here are a few of my cakes that I have made for the kids or friends, all are completely edible, My chicken run cake is my favorite. However, the 3 babies went down very well, as did the pirate ship. Hope you enjoy looking at them.
