I have lots of suet in my freezer. We hoped DH would get a deer last fall and my farmer friend gave me lots of beef suet to add fat to the venison.

    We didn't get a deer.

Now, I have all this suet and need a recipe for making suet for the wild birds ( or chickens ).

    Would appreciate any recipes.

    Thanks,

    Mary

Render the suet then mix about 1/2cup in with about 1/2 cup peanut butter until you have goop then mix in about 1/4 cup corn meal and1/2 cup bird seed mix it all togother and put it in an old butter tub stick it in the freezer until it is solid
Take it out of the tub and set it outside. Don't set it on anything you don't want an oil stain on.
