Recently found out that I have more male chicks in my coop. They are 12 weeks old what do I do with the male chicks?

Now this is a question often asked. Most of us have the same problem, too many boys in the flock. You can try your state thread and see if anyone nearby would be interested in having a boy or two. Good luck!

    Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! I'm afraid this is the downside of straight run birds. For me I give them a chance to find a new home but if they don't find anywhere they are dispatched. I know they have had a good life with me and the end is quick for them. I would much rather do this than them end up in unscrupulous hands.

Good luck and enjoy BYC :frow
