Male Mating help.

my male duck nod its head like a normal male he runs at the back of a female but the female just walks away and the male duck misses.
why is it like that? is he being rejected or he just doesnt know how to mate?
he doesnt bite the neck also
(this happens on land) because i dont have a pond

How old is he? If he's this spring's hatch, he probably isn't mature enough.

You can get a kiddie wading pool pretty cheaply to give them a bit of a bath, its really good for them and does help them to mate.

mine is weird like i have a kiddie pool but when i put them both the male tries and he just gives up shortly after bobbing his head and biting the neck so all my eggs the females sitting on are infertile... whats up?

maybe mine will also be like that i havnt tried to make them mate on water

best advice get a pond.mine breed like crazy in the pond.
