    Darn! I was hoping it was a boy. Someone said the red color to the comb is indicative of a male.

    Was dad barred or white? If not, did the chick hatch black with a spot on the back of its head? With a barred rock mother, this may well be a black sex link male if the dad wasn't barred or white.
