Male or female guinea

    Can you tell the difference between them by the color of their head. This may sound weird but I have two white guineas but one has a pink head the other a blue head so was just curious if one was a male and the other a female. Any thought welcome

    While you may or may not have a male and female guinea, it is highly unlikely that the color of their heads is any indication of their sex. It is more likely dealing with some recessive gene trait.

    I believe the pink color is just the smaller amount of melanin, or skin coloring, in that bird. You have to listen for their call...sorry!
