Does anyone have any insight as to whether our duck is male or female? It is almost 3 months old. I don't see a curled drake feather, however all of the tail feathers appear to curl a bit. We are new at all of this. [IMG][/IMG]

Has this duck molted out of its adolescent feathers? (You'd know, you'd wake up one morning and think that someone had a pillow fight in the back yard.)

Until that molt is complete, you won't see the drake feathers.

    No it has not. :(
The kids named 'him' Fred when he was a duckling and everyone assumed 'he'was male after that. :)
    Thanks for the feedback!

No problem! At this age, you should be able to voice sex. Does "Fred" quack?

It's hard to tell right now. My husband says he quacks and I think he squeaks... :)

Is it an only duck? You can pick it up and move it away from the flock to try to coax a quack.
