I have a ~8 week old Ameraucana chicken (I guess it may be an Easter Egger) which I am not sure is a male or female. I bought it at a feed store which only sells female chicks, but I know this is not 100% guaranteed. The chicken is friendly, gets along with my other chickens, has not tried to crow, and I don't see any saddle or hackle feathers. When I look closely at the comb, it seems to be a tiny bit wider (2 tiny rows flanking the middle comb) than my other Ameraucana chicken, but it's not very red, and the wattle hasn't really started growing yet. I know Ameraucana/Easter Egger chickens can be difficult to sex due to their pea combs. I appreciate your help/input!
