My home bred male who is coming up to two years old was terrorised by a hen who went broody. I separated her and she naturarally hatched two out of four eggs and has been a brilliant Mum. Indoors but without heat she broods then and they are a week old now the thriving although she is getting very protective. So all well there. But since she frightened the life out of Quinton I have not seen him mate a hen. The last eggs only produced four live Quail from twelve eggs so he is definatly not doing the business. Any advice how I can get him back on track other thank keep another male from the new chicks. Hopefully there will be one out of the six!
