I got my babies yesterday from Metzers and they are so sweet and little, I ordered my next batch from McMurray and they should be here next week. I can't believe water birds they are already.

Don't let them swim in water any deeper than they can stand up in. They can get water logged and drown because their feathers are not water proof yet. Allways keep an eye on them so they don't get tired and drown. It will take just over a month before they can water proof their own feathers. When they are in the wild their mamma preens them herself to make them water proof.

Ditto the above post!!!!! Being wet is one of the most common cause of death in young ducklings. They cannot tolerate the drop in body temperature.
