one more question. I have a powder supplement i ordered( ) to add to water. And my brooder is large(around 5ft x 5ft). We are in Louisiana but still getting some cold nights. Would I be better to keep them indoors in a large plastic container with light before putting them outdoors.

Depending on how cold it is outside, if you can keep the temperature at/around a steady 95 degrees outside then it's good. I would run a test for one night. Keep them inside for right now and put a heat lamp outside just like you were going to have them out there and a thermometer and see how warm it is at night and in the morning. I have the same thing going on right now, to cold and can't sustain constant temp outside so I have them inside and they're doing fine.:thumbsup
