Mama Cynthia and her chicks

Here is my new mama with her chicks. Now, the chocko-chick is from a fertilized egg from Speckled Hen (Cynthia) and the other is a Marans chick who is 3 days older,and I picked up locally so the little chick would have company. The Chocko Chick is 10 days old, and the Marans is 13 days old.

There's my namesake! You know, that chocolate chick is related to broody mama Cynthia. Dutch is Cynthia's father and the chocolate chick's mom, Riley, is also Dutch's daughter. So, Cynthia and Riley are half sisters, which makes her the baby's aunt, right? Cool!
