My mamma hen hatched 6 babies on Monday. She has mites and I have been treating her.. I brought babies inside to a brooder.. I have seen a few on them and have been killing them by hand.. How can I keep these babies healthy and gets these mites completely gone?

Since they are so young I would hesitate using "traditional" methods like poultry dust.
That said, baby chicks will dust bathe if given a chance so the first thing I would do is give them a dish pan of dirt/sand mix with a little DE or ash mixed in. (I did this for mine in the first week and they bathed like champs).
Fresh Eggs Daily has an article on Natural Prevention, so you might want to a look at her "Garlic Juice" recipe. I think it would be mild enough for the babies and it sounds like it "mite" be worth a try [IMG]
