Hi Everyone! This spring we got four gold laced Wyandotte chicks from our local coop. I have been having fun building out our chicken condo and learning how to care for our young chickens. We are 95% sure one is a rooster and very sad that we can't keep him since we live in the city. Here are some pics.

Thanks! I posted to the gender page. The hens are close to 12 weeks now. I was checking out the feathers for clues and don't like the answer I got.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Sometimes it is hard to tell the gender until it lays an egg or starts to crow! Very beautiful birds you have.

Enjoy them greatly and we do welcome you to our flock! :)

I may have a farm friend who needs a gold laced Wyandotte rooster and will trade me a pullet

He has 50 chickens of all sorts. He will be in chicken heaven with lots of pretty hens.
