We had one 11 month old hen left out of a few so we purchased one 2 month old roo, 3 hens between 2-4 weeks old (all BR) and two 3 week old guinea fowl. The 11 mo is by herself because each time I try to introduce her to the group she jumps on and pecks the two smallest. She likes the roo and the oldest, tolerates the GF. The roo, however, seems to like all the babies and the 11 month old. (I tried to leave just the two smallest separated and that was a diaster, the roo and babies almost killed themselves trying to get to one another).

The other night I went in the coop to make sure everyone was ok when I saw all these heads pop out from under Stewart the roo. He was trying his darndess to sit on all of them. The guinea were loving it, making their little purring sounds. As much as he love the babies he won't protect them from the 11 month old, I wish he would it would make life easier.

That is so cute, do you have a pic?

Maybe he will continue to bond with them and start protecting them?!
