This kinda reminds me of the role of government. If we leave it the mama chicken to take care of her offspring, chances a pretty good she knows exactly what to do. We have a great tendency to 'peoplize' the behavior of chickens, or any other animal we have for that matter. I've seen so many women with dogs they carry around and I don't believe ever see the ground, at least till they get home. Then we wonder what these same dogs never shut up and are out of control.
Same with government, they would rather spend your money than say you have the right to do so. They say they know best but they don't. Leave it mama chicken and I bet everything will be fine.
