Manchurian Quail sure look a lot like golden coturnix

    So many names, so few coturnix. [​IMG]
    There are at least 2 names for the various coturnix color mutations, then throw in the sizes, and who knows what is what.
    Buttons are even worse with the different names for the same colors.

    Italian, Manchurian, Golden, Jumbo Golden.......sure there are Goldens like the jumbos that are bigger than most of the regular goldens. But they are all the same coloration. Now I have had and bred Fawn Goldens....which are golden coloration birds but instead of being black flecked they have the cinnamon/fawn/red coloration.
