mantids as pets?

    So, in my wolf spider thread, some people mentioned keeping mantids as pets. Where would I find them, particulalrly the orchid or other variety? I used to keep african giant millipedes, and was thinking about doing a terrarium again.

    Mantids are sweeeeeet. There are whole forums dedicated to them and trading them. [​IMG] Google searches will turn them up. Best of luck, I would love to own some myself one day. They seem to be more interactive than many other insects.

    I have always loved these guys...and I'm not really a big bug keeper....hmmm, I do have an empty terrarium...might have to set one up and gift it to Red...
