Evidently it wasnt just the husband and his friend doing all the building???? Ouch! The coop looks great...buy those guys a beer!

ya - I like doing alittle DIY myself - pretty handy with the power tools - the splinter happened when a piece of plywood shifted when I was holding it. My dh and I are RNs - so while I cussed like a sailor, he took out the splinter (he's an ER RN - able to take out splinters and leap tall buildings) -

. I also gouged (sp?) my right pointer finger on a nail and took out a huge chunk of skin. It made it very difficult to start IVs the next day at work.

Believe me, those boys had a few beers during the building of the coop! I was the beer girl - picking up and delivering - always with a smile!

I think everyone did a great job. One of my dd's helped paint it, too.
