maple leaves?

We had a storm last night and it took down a maple tree. Just looking at the pile of brush with the green maple leaves and wondered if the chickens can/should/will eat them? Not sure what kind of maple, maybe a silver maple.
I am relatively new to chickens. We have had them 15 weeks and one has begun laying this week!

They most likely will not. Chickens prefer to eat blades of grass and pick the seeds off more mature grass.
