Marans sex and color

Are marans known to be difficult to sex and identify color on? This breed is new to me and I am having a difficult time on some of the birds telling if they are male or female and what color they are. They were hatched 9/17.

Yep pretty much photos are needed to help you out. Congrats on your new additions...it's my opinion that you will love them!

I found them to be pretty easy. Boys sprout combs/wattles really quickly. You should be able to tell by now. Post pics and we'll help you out!

I could sex a couple of mine right after they hatched!

2 were very obviously roosters, they had larger "combs" and thick, big legs.
