Mass on chick

Hi there,

I have 4 week old chicks and one of them is starting to form this mass on her chest. I’m not sure if it’s normal but it is much larger than the other chicks and it does not look normal in any circumstances. If anyone has any ideas as to what this could be anything helps. Thank you!

Sorry it’s not the best photo cause I don’t want to touch her but she is still eating and drinking but it just keeps getting bigger. What should I do?

I wouldn’t be asking if it didn’t seem like it didn’t bother her…she doesn’t run or jump she just sits there and is very slow.

Your peep has a blockage causing a impacted crop. I had one like this.

I treated with some coconut oil, crop massages(Note: Do not make the chick Vomit), & grit. Took awhile to get his crop functioning normally, it went from blocked, to slow.

Best to restrict feed, & only offer water until the blockage is passed.
